Hi! I’m Karen Czukerberg — a food writer born in Mexico City, currently living in Los Angeles until the moving bug hits me again (which happens often). I’ve already called Madrid, New York, and a few other corners of the world home, so at this point, it’s anyone’s guess where I’ll end up next.

Let’s rewind four decades. Somewhere in a dusty box full of VHS tapes, there’s a video of baby-me crawling after a grapefruit rolling across the floor. Maybe that’s where my love of food began — hard to say — but fast-forward a bit, and it led me to earn a couple of cooking certifications from the New School of Cooking in L.A., and a Food Writing for Publication diploma from Le Cordon Bleu. So yeah… something stuck.

These days, I spend an arguably ridiculous amount of time thinking about food. Reading about it. Cooking it. Eating it. Talking about it. (Overthinking it.) From culinary trends and rising chefs to the emotions tied to an unforgettable bite — I’m here for all of it. Eventually, I asked myself: What in the world do I do with all this information, memories, and feelings? And voilà — Karen Loves Food was born.

So welcome! This is my little corner of the interwebs to celebrate the world of gastronomy through, mainly, up-close and (sometimes very) personal essays. Whether you're here for recommendations, the storytelling, or to share the joy of eating — I’m happy you're here.

Let’s dig in.
